Mobo for i5-2500

Hello,

I am looking for a good motherboard for a Intel Core i5-2500 processor.

From what I have seen there are the following chipsets available:
P67 H67 Z68 Q67 Q65 and B65

What are the differences between them? Thanks.

If you have't purchased it yet, the i5-2300 and i5-2400 are more than sufficient for general or gaming use. The i5-2500 isn't something I'd recommend; The i5-2500K isn't much more expensive and allows further overclocking.

As for chipsets, Z68 is best for general-purpose use. If you have zero interest in overclocking, you may be better off with H67.

P67 - you can overclocking, but you don't get the IGP. since its a 2500, you cant overclock much(only 4 bin level ~ 0.4ghz), kinda useless

H61 ~ really really basic chipset (usually no USB3.0 or SATA6 from 3rd party). basically low cost low price solution

H67 = mainstream. H61 + the USB3.0/SATA6, IGP

Z68 = H67 + P67. IGP with overclocking, with some benefits like SSD caching

Q67,Q65,B65 are mostly the business chipset, with more business-oriented features like Trusted Platfrom Module(TPM), vPro/IPMI for remote management
