Hey guys -

I tend to frown on these types of posts, but I really could use some help/guidance on this one. This is for a build for myself and my first time working with intel cpus, as normally I play with AMD.

Right now I am planning on buying the e6600 - and quite frankly all reviews from newegg on compatible boards seem pretty bad. Whether it is a DOA board, doesnt work with C2Ds without a flash, or something else - i just am awfully confused and would like some suggestions.

I am looking to spend around 100-150 and be compatible with ddr2(800)... sli is not needed. if you think something is worth a look, please let me know..

thanks - much appreciated
dan

btw - i have been looking at the MSI power up, but reviews at newegg got me worried http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustratingReview.asp?Item=N82E16813130051

My E6600 is running great on an Asus P5N32-E 680i board. I have it overclocked to 2.87 GHZ (more to come). These boards are hard to find right now. I had 2 of them on order. I was going to cancel the other when one shipped. Well, they both shipped on the same day. I will be adding it to my FS thread or posting it on Ebay when it gets here. It will be here today or Monday at the latest if interested.

EDIT: NM, just looked at your price range.
