when you say PC2700 board, I assume you mean a board that runs 133MHz/166MHz asynchronously.. i.e. DDR333 without overclocking. before you make your decision, you should take into account:
1) the only chipsets that will do this are KT333 and SiS 745, and these haven't really come out yet
2) running DDR333 is basically the same thing as DDR266.. there's only about a 5% speed bonus
3) you can run 166MHz/166MHz fronside bus but you either have to unlock your processor or overclock it 25% (you'll need a real good cooler for this)
that being said, I suggest you get the Abit KR7A and add in sound, SCSI, etc. separately. not many boards have USB 2.0, you might want to get that on a PCI card.
if you want you can go with a KT333 board just to say you're running DDR333, just know that it won't help you much.
