Im looking for a mobo that is fast/reliable for a P4C 2.8. Will not be doing any OC'ing for the time being, but would like the option to OC in the future. Also, I have about $100 limit... give or take.

Thanks for your suggestions.

The abit is7 (about $92 at newegg) is still one of the most recommended p4 mobos. Abit has good customer support and a 3 year warranty, with direct rma availability, in case your vender won't handle it. Newegg will take care of it for about the first year, then you can send it to abit.

I would second the Is7, but it would be a tie with the Albatron PX865PE PRO for $79, also excellant customer support. The IS7 gives you the ICH5R raid 0 capability

I am looking at the IS7-E. Does anybody know if it a stable MB? I have cheap RAM (512 MB of Patriot DDR PC 2700 made by PDP Systems). My system suffers from frequent lockups right now. I am hoping a new MB will fix the problem.

Anyone?

I know there are a lot of folks out there using the IS7 family of motherboards. Would you consider these boards "rock stable?"

Anyone have any experience with Patriot memory? I got it on sale at Fry's for $50 after rebate. Not looking to overclock it, but just want it to run my machine.
