Mobo doesn't have AGP. Are PCI's a waste of money for today's gaming?

MY brother's system needs a good video card for his gaming needs. he likes all FPS games like Jedi Knight 2, Medal of Honor, Soldier of Fortune, etc, etc.

Is it worth gutting his mobo and voodoo4 pci and getting a new mobo with an AGP slot and a good GF card or are there decent PCI cards out there that will sustain today's latest games for a while to come?

Really need help, thanks in advance

yes

i would sell the old rig, and use that money towards an upgrade. the longer u wait, the less u will get in return. u r gonna need to upgrade eventually... so might as well start now.

Yet if you get a decent PCI card with lots of RAM on, the effect of PCI being slow will minimize.

PowerColor RV2P was made specifically for cases like your brother's.
