ive been running a dual p3 1ghz with acorp intel 815chipset for awhile now .. the motherboard does run much hotter then the MSI Via Dual one .. On sat, I had turn off the PC cuz it gets really hot in my room to go to disney, when I came home the PC wouldn't boot .. after some testing, figured out the motherboard was fried .. So right now, I'm using the MSI board with the dual 1ghz which I had to format and reinstall everything .. However, I can only boot into XP if I set BIOS to load-fail safe settings .. Anything else and it would lock up at start of splash screen .. so everything is at minimal settings right now

Anyways, since I already have everything else I need .. I'm planning on upgrading the CPU/MB/RAM and most likely a new power supply (currently using enermax 300w) eventually .. So my question is, should I just wait for the i865PE chipset to be released or just get the 845PE? I"ll probably pick up either the p4 2.4B or 2.53 unless they have 2.4/2.53 at 800fsb coming out soon as well?? .. If I do go the 845PE route, which motherboard would u recommend? Dont plan on using RAID but SATA capabibility would be nice, not required though. Thanks :)

According to the AnandTech News, the Springdale boards are showing up in the retail channels. So, I don't see why you shouldn't hop on the i865 bandwagon. :)
