Mobo died just in time

So for the past 3 years i had the trusty fatality from abit (an8).
It sadly passed away last night.
Let it rest in peace.
**initiates a moment of silence**

right. Now that that is done lets pick out a new mobo.
Here are the requirements:
It has to be intel. I have used AMD till now, and even though I am happy with it, its time for a change.
I will be using an Nvidia graphics cards. Dunno if it impacts the chipset i will need, but just wanted to put it out there.
Memory: DDR3 i will need new one anyways (cos i was at ddr1) so price providing i shalt be making the switch to ddr3

Case, psu (antec) and hard drives i shall carry over from the old rig.

So let the recommendations begin.

Oh, ps. thanks for all your input people.

DDr3 is still priced too high, unless you're in a hurry to switch to core i7. My newegg email specials listed corsair pc6400 (2x2 gigs) for $21.99 after $30 rebate with free shipping. I suggest you start with that. For the motherboard, any p45 will work well unless you want to try crossfire with 2 cards. x48 boards are good for that, but run $225 and higher. For the cpu, either the e8400 or e7200 are good choices for value and performance. Frys has both on sale this week. I personally don't recommend the sli nvidia chipset boards, as the manufacturer's are mostly evga or xfs; neither website provides much support in the form of bios updates.

Gigabyte UD3P.

One word describes this board, and that word is AWESOME.

It just simply has and does everything you could want.
