mobo/cpu testing

I just completed building my computer... i connected it to the power supply.. when i switched the power button...nothing happened...i just heard a sound and my mobo fan, cpu fan rotated for about few seconds and then stopped!.. i tries changing the psu to no good..i even removed all my stuff except mobo, ram, video card and tried starting..it dint work..i tried shorting the power switch from the case...it still dint work!...please help: i dunno what wrong??..is it something with the mobo??can someone please help!!..i tried everything..i even changed my psu to a higher watt(430) and higher current(26 A)..it still doesnot work.....could it be my cpu or mobo thats got problems??..how could i check them??
 
take out the RAM, just the CPU, video card see if you get POST beeps.

YOu sure you seeded the CPU correctly and the wiring for case is right?

 
I tried that as well...all my wiring are right and my cpu..jus that my mobo fan n cpu fan run for 15 seconds at bare minimum and for around 3~5 sec with everything....

So you get POST beeps with just the CPU in only?
 
Just a guess, but some boards won't boot up unless they can sense the CPU HS fan running fast enough. So, double-check it is plugged into the right header. Double check the HS is seated proerely on eth cpu as well.
