Athlon 64 3200+
Asus K8N-E Deluxe
1 GIG Giel DDR400
6800GT
200GB Seagate Barracuda
480W Thermaltake PSU

So, stupid Nvidia System Utility, as I was carefully messing around with OCing parts, I guess I did something wrong? Please dont flame me for being so noob and messing up OCing. So now My motherboards USB ports dont work and Sound is all messed up. I tried to reset my Bios, but nothing. and another thing, right now my CPU fan and PSU fan are reading about 8000 RPM. So im thinking the computer is tricking itself or something and not sending power to the USB ports or something?

Oh computer Gods of anandtech, please help me.

Maybe you corrupted some drivers? What does the device manager say about the usb ports and sound card?

Resetted CMOS, and FLashed the BIOS, still the same =[

the device manager says usb ports are working, and my sound is from the mobo. and "apparently" its all working fine...

You may need to reinstall drivers, and you'll need new windows updates, but no files will be erased.

alright, i didnt do that windows thing yet...
I did reinstall my motherboard nforce drivers tho.

but, i can plug Usb devices in the computer will recognize that they are there, just not what they are, it calls them unrecognized devices (my printer)

Also, I tried using winamp, and it seems that the sound is an extremely muffled slow motion type of thing.

I looked in the Nvidia System Utilities, and Nvidia System Monitor, it says the CPU is getting 4.1 VOLTS!!!

this would explain the ridiculous number for the Fan speeds.

how do I lower this??

nah because, re flashing bios, or just putting default bios settings didnt do anything.

but its okay, its fixed now, I just turned off my computer for a while. From what I think my PSU surged or something, messing with the mobo, thus the extremely high readings for voltages and high fan speeds. so Allowing giving time for my PSU and Mobo time to displace the power, allowed everything to be fixed.
Ofcourse I know dont know alot about computers, so that is a guess, if someone could enlighten me if they know what happened that would be awesome.

thanks for the help anyway aGreenAgent, you are the best ^__^
