I am getting a new computer shortly and am going to be spending about $800 not including monitor, keyboard, speakers, mouse, etc. I am only going to be gaming on this comp and am going with amd 64 3000 Venice core. My question is on mobos, i have tentatively decided on the MSI K8N N4 ATX mobo from newegg for $84. I havent really read any reviews on this mobo but am looking at it beasically for its price and the fact that it has a optical digital output for my stereo. Is this a good overall mobo, I dont know how to overclock yet but I definitely wanna try, I plan on getting 2X512 sticks of OCZ value RAM also. SO any suggestins, or does anyone know good sites to read up on mobos?? Thanks for the input

DFI Lanparty

One of the best(if not the best) mobos for OCing right now, if you are going to build a system, then this is the right choice.

I agree with the DFI suggestion if you're overclocking.

Just a little warning - if you're planning on using digital optical out for gaming, you'll only get true surround sound from a few offerings (Old Soundstorm boards, HDA X-Mystique, and Turtle Beach Montego are the only ones I know of).
