mobo Chipset hierarchy

Hi all 🙂,
I wanted to know the list of the chipset from the fastest/Best to the slowest/worst, For both the Intel and AMD mobos...
As chipset plays an important role on a mobo, this would help us decide which mobo to get according to our budget 🙂

The only difference between the various PCHs/FCHs are features, not performance. That is identical, although it can vary a bit between different implementations on mainboards. But we're talking a couple of percent, maximum.

Once upon a time, when memory controllers were part of the chipset, there could be significant performance differences between chipsets. Even between mainboards with the same chipset. This ended when the memory controller was integrated into the CPU. AMD started with the Athlon64 in 2003, Intel only followed with Nehalem in 2008.
