Mobo bios flashing question....

When flashing mobo bios is it best to change all the current setting in the bios to default before flashing the new bios, or can you leave all the current overclocked setttings in place?
 
best not to flash with an overclock.
If you have something like an Abit or DFI you can save a BIOS profile & just restore it after the flash.
 
restore defaults is generally good practice, I don't always remember to do it though. But NEVER flash while OC'd, I haven't tried it but I've been warned that it can have bad effects
