Recently I bought a new PC as my Dell 4700 wasn't cutting it and my 6600 GT died. Unfortunately I think I made a mistake in my MOBO, but not sure. I bought a Foxconn A7GM mobo for AM2+ and stuck an Athlon X2 4850e in and 2 gigs of Gskill DDR2 RAM. It worked alright, but my sound was messed up. I used Foxconn's own update utility to update BIOS and etc and now all I get when I turn on my PC is a black screen and I can't even open my optical drive! I've made sure everything is plugged in, and it is. I've tried VGA and DVI on both my onboard and my ASUS Radeon HD 4670.
Is there a way to fix this? Or will I have to go get another mobo? And where could I get them? Circuit City, Staples, Wal-Mart etc. don't seem to stock them. If it helps I live in the Baltimore area. All I need is a cheap mobo that WORKS - doesn't need to be all fancy.
