mobo and RAM not playing nice, causing OS crashes

Hi all,

Just finished my first HTPC build, but for whatever reason Windows crashes right after the XP logo loads when running the RAM dual channel @ pc6400. I tested each stick separately and they work alone @ pc6400 without issues. In addition, I can load Windows flawlessly running dual channel @ pc5300.

Has anyone experienced something similar to this or have additional thoughts as to why it might be occurring? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I ended up locating this thread

on the Corsair site and started playing with the RAM voltage. Went from 1.8 to 2.1 and issues continued. Took a step down to 2.0 and the RAM runs @ pc6400 dual channel without issues so far. Tonight planning to run memtest as suggested just to be thorough. Thanks again for the advice, just want to post my results in case someone else runs into a similar issue.

good to hear, hopefully that will do it.
But if you are having problems still, talk to the ramguy and post here too, I know I'd like to know what works and what doesn't

Thanks
