Mobo and RAM help

Looking to build an everyday machine, programming, multi-applications etc. but very little gaming. Here was the plan:

CPU - Athlon 64 x2 3800
Mobo - DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D
RAM - 1gb OCZ something? (is 2gb too much?)
Graphics - BFG 6600GT
HDD - 250gb

I have my doubts about the Mobo after reading some reviews on other sites. It really seems like the top choice for that chip on anandtech though. Still sifting through what type of RAM... And while we are on it, fill in the HDD blank too. Thanks in advance to those who help.
