Mobo and Proc upgrade...

Quick question...I should probably know this, but my mind is farting.

When upgrading a Mobo and Proc, does one NEED to reinstall an OS, or is it just recommended, or what? I'm thinking at least a MBR fix, but I'm not entirely sure.

You ussually won't NEED to. But you will ussually atleast NEED to run the repair utility if it doesn't boot right.

When I upgraded from a NF2 mother board to a NF3 250 motherboard I didn't need to do anything because they both use the same drivers. I was lucky it booted right into windows no problem. I reformated anyways because I wanted a fresh install so I could clean some crap out and it was over my 6 month format limit. :D

Ahhh. I'll be going from ASUS to ECS. I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall, because I'm just too lazy for that. We shall see if I boot up or not when it all comes in. Thanks.
