what's the fastest processor i can put in an abit be6-II, pIII or celeron. I'm just thowing together a second computer, and was just curious as to what the board could support....
BE6-II V2.0 supports "Intel Pentium III / Celeron 450~1GHz processor cartridge based on 100MHzFSB"
So maybe an 800MHz Celeron would be a good bet. That's the first of the Celerons to use the 100MHz frontside bus instead of 66MHz, and they're not too pricey, and it sounds like it should work with either revision of the BE-6 II. You'd need a slot-to-socket adapter, though. Maybe hit the For Sale/Trade forum and see if someone's got one for a good price.
