dunno which one to get: epox 8k7a or asus a7v266?

i will not wait anymore for kt266a or nforce... i'm utterly sick of waiting

if your sick of waiting i dont think the a7v266 is a choice either, since its still not in stores
the epox 8k7a is a good board even though its getting a little older

if you want to save a few dollars the epox 8kha board is nice (via kt266)

actually i've seen it today at a local store (it's a kt266 board, not kt266a)

Hmmm, is ocing important? If no, then A7V266. It's the highest performing KT266 board, and often beats AMD 760 boards too. Behind SiS 735 by 5% but still better than 760. But if u are going to oc, then 8K7A by far. Not only does A7V266 have the 138MHz fsb bug, but it can't match up to 8K7A's or Abit KG7-RAID's ocing features.

go epox ..at least this way if you decide at a later date to overclock you will have more options and a stable board

With the price of 761 boards so low right now, KT266 doesnt seem like a very good option.

At Newegg.com
Rev 4 of the Gigabyte GA-7DX = $117
Biostar M7MIA-R =$112.
DFI AK76 = $105
MSI K7 Master = $130 (not at newegg, local store)
EPOX EP-8K7A = $115

Also, ASUS boards are highly overpriced with the A7V266 set to break $150 by most accounts, and for that huge lump of money, you can get feature packed boards like the SOYO K7V-Dragon.

All in all, I reccomend the EPoX board... until KT266A launches, SiS can ship more 735, and nForce finally is released you will be top dog... and besides, the performance difference between all these boards is basicly nill, and you will have yours NOW... not in a month.
