mobilty 9000 in notebooks

When can we expect Dell or Gateway to have the Radeon 9000 in their notebooks? Anytime this week?

HP/Compaq has the 2800T which uses the 9000 mobility in it. It looks like a great lappy, but hopefully dell will get the 9000 in sometime

According to Anand's article on the Radeon Mobility 9000, chips start shipping this week:

With ATI's announcement that memory on chip Mobility Radeon 9000's will be shipping in notebooks next week, the company seems to be the first to actually be shipping an integrated memory video product for the mobile market.

I got a laptop so I'd stop upgrading, but I'm screwing up by owning a DivX box and a Server 🙁

i don't think even compaq is shipping them by then. might have to go with a 2nd tier vendor.

I would say, if you can, hold out. Mobility 9000 seems far superior to what they are offering on laptops right now.

Not from the tests I've seen against the GF4 Go. Looks about the same.

So i guess I have to settle for the ati radeon 7500....🙁 if I order the notebook today, it won't even get to me till after I move into my dorm, so I cannot afford to wait any longer🙁
