Mobility X800 Bios Needed!!!

Hello, this is for the AnandTech Engineers or anyone else that can help.
Anandtech, Great review of the MRX800! Hopefully you still have the part...

I am doing heavy research into the X800 architecture (mostly related to the MR9800) and have come very far regarding unlocking the extra 4 to 8 pipes on the MR9800. I am only one or two steps away from completing my special bios, but I need the MRX800 bios to use as a "rosetta stone" to transfer the graphics card port assignments to my new bios to get my displays working properly. I have all the tools and enough knowledge to pull this off... I just need this one last thing.

I have been running a 4/5 hybrid MR9800/X800Pro custom bios for a few days now with a great level of success. I just have that one thing to figure out and I may be able to open the MR9800's pipes. If temps allow, I may be able to (with core/mem adjustments) achieve 16pipes with a heatmod.

If anyone could extract the MRX800 bios, and send me the rom... I will love you forever. And you WILL remain anonymous if you wish.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this? It's my understanding that the Mobility Radeon 9800 (ATI M18) has a maximum of 8 pipes and no more. Run RivaTuner or ATITool on it and confirm that.

Since I don't know what a heatmod even is I don't think I will be able to help you with this project. If you are a programmer and can pull this off, good job and please do post the custom BIOS! However, I believe there aren't even any laptops in existence that contain this chip yet so you may have to wait a while.

This site does not have the X800 mobility bios but it does have up to 9800 mobility. Check back there often though.

All R420 GPU's have 16 pipes in various locked configurations. Our GPU is the R420. I have been able to flash a desktop X800XT and Pro bios and the card worked except the video ports which will be fixed when I get the MRX800 bios. I am able to flash back to the MR9800 bios easily. Read Rage3D's article on the MR9800 and X800. I have just been working on this longer than any of them.

I have almost achieved success.

AnandTech and Rage3D have both had this card in their possession, just wondering if someone would be inclined to download the bios for me. The potential payback is well worth it.
