Mobility Radeon 9600 -- when??

Hey guys, I've been really anxious about the Mobility Radeon 9600 because I could finally buy a notebook that would actually be able to play games..

Anyways, I've been searching the web for a few hours now and the official ATI website says that it should come out in the spring. Well, we're in the middle of the spring right now. Does anyone know when this VPU will finally come out so that I can buy a new laptop already?

I hate to break it to you, but laptops have had decent 3D performance for a while. Both the Radeon 9000 Mobility and the GeForce 4200 Go (or whatever it's called) have very decent 3D performance. I've played Counter-Strike and Natural-Selection on a GeForce 2 Go, and Quake 3 on a Radeon Mobility (original), and all were perfectly smooth.
 
I'm sorry, I meant to say "a laptop that could play Unreal Tournament 2003 decently" 😀

While I heard that neither of those cards were bad, I want my laptop to be able to play all the newest games that are out today.. and at least run the games that will be out in the future (such as Doom 3) 🙂.

Any thoughts as to when it comes out?
