I am going to get a laptop Dell Inspiron 8100 and play games alot. I will be playing games like EAW, Falcon4, Steel Beast, Sub Command, SilentHunter2, Janes F18, CounterStrike, Operation FlashPoint, and Rouge Spear. I have a Pent 3 1.1ghz desktop with a Voodoo5 and another Pent 3 1.1 ghz desktop with a TNT2 Ultra, I have been happy with performance of both machines for gaming. I still play alot of games in 800x600 video mode still! The operating system will be Windows XP. Which card do you think I will be happy with since I run a lot of games in 800x600 and my games are somewhat older. Stabilty and the one that will play all games above without any problems! Thanks for any info!

Right now, the mobile radeon 7500 spanks the Geforce 2 go. I don't remember any review sites, but I remember there was a huge difference between the geforce 2 go and the 7500. I believe that you won't have any problems with the games you listed with either of the cards.

Rule of thumb when you buy a laptop:

[*]Get the best configuration that your wallet will allow.

The Radeon 7500M spanks the GF2go around is all areas. Spend the few extra bucks and get the ATI. You will thank yourself down the road.

Going by 3dmark, the GeForce2Go gets about a 2300 and the ATI gets about a 4000 if I remember right.

I have been happy with my G2Go (got it prior to the ATI). In fact, before I upgraded my P3 600 Voodoo5 desktop, I used the laptop for the more powerful games.

But now, I would go ATI... the only downside would be NVidia continually provides updated Linux drivers if you planned on using Linux... ATI does not.
