From what I understand the 2400+/2500+ Mobile XP's W/Barton core are unlocked and excellent oc'ers. newegg has them in stock ,the 2400+ is 79.00 with an extended 1 year warranty for a extra 5.00. The 2500+ is 95.00 with a 1 year extended warranty also for 5.00. Both chips are oem.
ZZF has the retail desktop barton 2500+ for 81.00 2nd day shipping.
I have to ask which is the better deal. I am really lost here as which chip to buy. I'm positive I wouldn't buy the mobile 2500+ not for 95.00 oem, but the 2400+ for 79.00 is a good deal I think ( unlocked, lower core volt, excellent oc'er) , Then again the desktop 2500+ retail for 81.00 shipped is mighty hard to beat
How about some suggestions from the hardcore overclocking guru's
