Mobile videocard with DVI input, does it exsist?

So like, theres a connection on a powerbook, DVI connection, that would let me connect a DVI OUTPUT from one source and display is on the powerbook screen with a DVI input?

Ex.

DVI out on a desktop machine to the DVI input on this powerbook, where I can use the powerbook essentially as my desktop monitor?
 
Ok then, do you know of a video capture card that coudl effectivly display my desktop on a laptop in fullscreen, 1280x whatever mode, with no delay? Fireware, USB 2, PCMCIA? Where does the bottleneck occur when doing videocapture?

In case you were wondering, I would like to set up a laptop to be able to connect a desktop display to is and use the laptop as a monitor when not using the laptop itself. Any suggestions on ifthis is possible?
