Mobile versions of websites on home PC?

Lower

As I have surfed around for the past few months - on IE7 and IE8, random websites have chosen to push their mobile version on me. As I am on my home computer I find this incredibly frustrating.
I have tried refreshing and reloading the pages. I have tried searching for an answer. I can't seem to peg this issue down.

It doesn't happen often - for a while Outback.com wouldn't come up in anything other than mobile form on this computer - other computers on this internet connection don't have this trouble. Currently walmart.com is doing it to me.

Any input?
Thanks

I've seen this happen a couple of times in the last couple of weeks, and I'm using Firefox.

I'd guess that whatever mechanism determines which version of the page to send out is occasionally screwing up. But as to why. . . . no idea.
