hey i have an old sony viao laptop with a pentium III 1ghz processor....recently its been really slow. when i right click on my comp icon on the desktop and go to properties, it lists it as a pentium III 1ghz processor but right under that it says that its running at 725mhz....i also tried using cpuid and it also tells me that my processor is running at 729mhz....132mhzbus x5.5 multiplier. Why is the multiplier so low? how can i change it back? any help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks in advance.
EDIT: I just noticed that the multiplier flips back and forth from 5.5 to 7.5 for some odd reason randomly.....
