That won't work, as all my purchases are with my OLD e-mail address. Any ideas?

Contact Apple Support, I'm sure they can merge your account.

I do think it's dumb that it auto creates one though. This is another example of a user experience choice to try and make it easier for the consumer, but it really is just causing more headaches.

I'm having problems with MobileMe mail. I have my gmail set up to forward to my MM account, which pushes to my iPhone. After I read the email on the phone and delete it (or move it), I can log into MM webapp and see a message still in the inbox. If I drag those into the trash I see 2 copies of the same email, one deleted from the iPhone, 1 from the webapp.

Anybody else have this problem? It doesn't really bother me as I still reply from my gmail account (which is perfectly in sync) but it just seems weird.

I have a question, I set up the personal domain on my me.com account, and I set up a CNAME entry in my DNS to link my domain to web.me.com. Apple doesn't get into any detail about this, but I'm assuming by doing this I should be able to link my web page to display my calendar? I run a business and would love for people on my site to be able to click on the calendar link and be able to view my me.com calendar. It's not working at all. Right now it just goes to an error page on when I access web.me.com from my domain. What am I not doing right here?

I very much believe that this is another example that Apple isn't really "pushing" the data to your device, but rather syncing everything (albeit fairly quickly with the iPhone/webapps).

Anyone who uses mobile me in their Mail.app, is your return address coming up right?

Mine is still showing the @mac.com, and there doesn't seem to be anyway to change it (that I can see)

aphex, when I email people it's coming up as mac.com, I know that's not exactly what you're asking. People can email me @me.com but if send an email it's coming up as mac.com

maybe Apple is still switching things over? this has been some roll out, my Calendar sync is still not working lol. Glad I get an extra 30 day free trial, I still might pay for it who knows :)

Hah, they botched the launch. Being #3 comes with a price :D

This must be a record for Apple. I have never seen them botch a software launch like this. It's quite disappointing, to say the least.

I had signed up over a month ago for Apple to notify me as soon as Me.Com was ready. I just got the Email yesterday. I wonder if that's some sort of sign? lol

So its been pretty stable for me now.... But some annoyances better get fixed soon or i'm bailing.

My biggest gripe right now is that Unread E-Mail counts don't get pushed. It will only update the unread count on your iPhone if you either 1. Open the Mail Client or 2) New Message gets pushed to the phone

This seriously SUCKS. I don't like looking at my iPhone, see 1 new message, only to find out it was the same message I saw on my desktop 6 hours before but the status hasn't updated since no new messages came in. Poor form Apple, Poor Form.

Sadly enough, it seems to be DESIGNED that way - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1795
