The mobile Athlon will kick the celery's azz. I would pitty the celery even more if it is the Pent 4 celeron.

yes it will.
but if you want longer battery life, get the Celeron.
laptops aren't meant for hardcore cpu horsepower.. afterall.. no gaming on a laptop! (well, who would want to)

pros/cons:

Celeron will give you longer battery life
Celeron will run a bit cooler
Athlon will be faster but will take more juice, and puts out a bit more heat.

hmm no gaming on a laptop? sorry to say, but they are useful when it comes to transporting to lans and stuff. jst add a mouse and your set.

in this case i doubt it. Mobile celerons do not have any sort of powr managment what so ever. so in this case the athlon would win has well.

The mobile celeron probably draws power like mad. Remember, all mobile celerons are based offa the williamette core. The williamette core sucked for power managment. Correct me if i'm wrong, though. Also, I believe that the williamette had *higher* power consumption than equivlent performance Athlons. Who knows..
