I could never understand the addiction of mobile games. Are they even that much fun ?

Mobile games like Shadowrun, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition?

Or mobile games like Bloons TD5, Hitman GO, Kingdom Rush, Quell Memento, and Threes?

Or mobile games like Candy Crush, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Clash of Clans, and Boom Beach?

Your same point can be pointed at any gaming platform today. Please be more specific.

I could never understand the addiction of mobile games. Are they even that much fun ?

They are, but they're meant for different situations.

Mobile games are usually for those spare moments when you don't have time to sit down at a console or PC, like when you're waiting for the bus. It's that short-and-sweet nature that keeps people coming back. If your round is over in a couple of minutes, you're more likely to try another round than you would if you spent half an hour in a 'big' video game.

Some people try to delegitimize them by saying they're not "real" games, but I'd beg to differ: you can be an expert in Threes, just as you can be a casual Call of Duty player. The only real difference is that you're targeting different gameplay situations and miss out on some resources.

Mobile games for me = emulated classics. It's always a good time when I can't get to my PC.
