According to the new Anandtech article on Super 7 Upgrades, the K6-x+ CPU's consume about 24 ~ 29W of power.

The mobile Duron 600 consumes about 24W of power as well.

Despite the lack of PowerNow, don't you think that's pretty good? Maybe I'm just fooled by numbers, but I am now rethinking about my previous comments on the new mobile Durons.

Anybody agree/disagree with me?

According to AMD's techdocs, K6-2+ maximum power consumtion is 16W @ 450-500Mhz and 18W @ 533+ Mhz. Typical power dissipation (probably using software cooling e.g. HLT instructions and PowerNow) is around 12W.
