Mobile CPUs slower than desktop?

I was wondering if the mobile CPUs, such as the mobile celeron would be slower than the desktop equivalent with the same speed, cache, and FSB?

No, but you will have much slower HD's and such, making the system much slower. But the CPU should crunch numbers as well as a desktop.

You will have to turn off the cpu controlling software. When you do that the celey will run full speed but suck battery dry =)

A 1.2Ghz mobile p3 will run the same speed as a 1.2ghz tualatin p3. This is if they are running at the same clock speed, not throttled down to a lower clock speed to save power.
