Another computer of mine.

Mobile Barton 2600+ is supposed to have a 15x multiplier and 133MHz FSB.

Unfortunately, I can't get this mobo to run at 15x. It will only run at 12.5x and lower, no matter what the FSB is set at.

It's got what I think is the latest BIOS, from 2/12/04.

It's not so much of a big deal right now, because I can run it at anything below 12.5 and crank up the FSB; right now I'm running it at 11x200. I'm just curious why I can't run it at stock settings.

Yup. That's the answer. Looks like the NFS7 is the only board that allows the higher multipliers.

Well, I'm happy to be cranking along at 11x200 for now. I'll see if 11.5x or 12x works. 12.5x200 didn't work; I had to reset the CMOS to get it to POST again. :)

I assume that my DDR400 RAM won't work much above 200 FSB.
