I've moved this from General because I only had one response...It was also in the wrong forum! :)...

"I've read A LOT of great things about these mobile processors. But most of those things I've read have been about the 2500+ or 2600+ chips. I figured with the lower wattage of the 2200+ that it may overclock just a tad bit better.

I already ordered it and an NF7-S mobo for a second PC (along with a 256MB 9800PRO that I plan to flash to an XT....not a bad 2nd rig if you ask me ) and just want to know what to expect.

I am currently using a 2.4C in an IC7 mobo w/ a 9800pro (both are currently @ stock speeds for some unknown reason!!!! ). Will this second PC out perform my current one? Should I start refering to it as THE PC?"

I'm not sure whether the 2200+ uses the barton core...AFAIK it uses the TBred B core - this is wayyy harder to cool and from my experience you won't achieve the same results.

I would say follow Jen's suggestion.

Edit: didn't see Naustica's post....either way this IS a Barton. So I guess no one really knows how well this does. I'll be the first to find out.

I ordered an Aeroflow HSF...anyone think I may need something a bit better? I can still probably return it, or just put it up on the FS/FT forums.

(1) the 2200+ is indeed barton core.

(2) 2.4c should oc to 3.0-3.4g range you should really give it a try.

(3) some people have good exp w/ 2200+, mine is currently running at 2.46g but need 1.93v (actual about 1.85v).

(4) It really depends on the apps you run. To me the 2200+ is an excellent value but it is by no means a slam dunk,.
