I rememebr reading someoen that the mobile AMD 64's can either have 512K or 1024K of cache. The AMD site says only 1024K Cache, and a reseller says that 200+ and up have 1024K cache, and 2800+ and below have 512K cache.

So - what is the story? Thanks.

L2 cache only seems to make a difference in very specific benchmarks. This Sempron I've been testing only has 256 L2 but it definitely holds it's own against similarly clocked A64's. Whether the extra cache is neccesary for you is completely dependent on what apps you use. However, In general clock speed > L2 cache when dealing w/ the A64's.

OK - I reread some info. It appears that the 3000+ is a 3200+, but with 512K cache instead of 1Mb.
