I purchased the 1500i for my father. On average, it gets about 10-11 hourts of play, though sometimes I can't tell if its on or if my dad is just singing out loud.

I was going to buy "mobiBLU Cube 2 GB" for $155 at Walmart, went to their website and found this new, slightly bigger and cheaper (2GB for $130) one. Even it last only half of 153 hrs, it's still long battery life. They do have a free phone number "1-888-283-2580 ", I plan to call next a few days.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the 2G model. It just seemed too good to pass up. I couldn't find it listed at any of the usual sources (amazon, buy.com, froogle, etc.), so I'm a bit worried. The cnet-uk review is troubling since it sounds like the audio quality may be poor, but I listen to a lot of audio books so I'm willing to take a chance.

I received my B153 player today (6 days after the order was placed) and it seems pretty good so far. Too soon to tell about battery life, but it sounds excellent (which was my primary concern based on one of the reviews referenced above). It's a bit heavier than I expected, compared to my old MP3 player (due to its giant Li-On battery I suspect). The OLED display is outstanding in clarity and brightness. It has a nice general look and feel, but again, too soon to tell for sure.

howis this hot though? its just normal for a player of that type. the original was only semi hot when it first came out, but like a week or two later it got slammed by the nano. its got that iffy screen and carrying around a "cube" in your picket isn't so hot. let alone around your neck..which would be a good way to get a cube like indentation in your chest if you trip while jogging or something. this one doesn't look much better. it looks like something from a previous generation:p

I think $130 (+$8 shipping) is a pretty good deal for an excellent 2G MP3 player. The 150 hour batterry life is a nice extra touch.
BTW, this is not a cube player, the screen is great and the sound quality to my ears is quite good. See http://www.mobibluamerica.com/b153.html for details. I wonder if CNET-UK reviewed the same model?
