I called Verizon last week and rode the customer service ladder across about 6 different departments before someone with a clue managed to transfer me to where I needed to be. Then two customer service monkeys later (one supposedly a supervisor) of action by inaction, I asked for an executive or manager, to which they happily agreed to fetch for me. The only catch is that process requires a callback to me by said manager, and that would happen within 24 to 48 hours from that time.
I still haven't heard from said manager. It's a shame I know how call centers work too, otherwise I'd probably be more pissed than I actually am, since I was never expecting a callback anyhow.
