MN31N BIOS settings

Hello,

I just installed a MN31N and man is this the most confusing BIOS i've ever seen. I have it running with default setting for now but I want to learn more about the settings before I begin tweaking. For instance, WTF is FSB Spread Spectrum and which is better .5 or 1.0? There are other settings I also do not understand. Can someone please point me to a resource for learning?
 
I am setting up a system with the same board. The BIOS is similar to the one on my Asus A7N8X-DX. I"m not really sure what the spread spectrum setting do either, I"ve heard that it may run a bit faster with them set at zero.

Have you checked at Nforcers.com? I"ve gotten quite a bit of help there.

 
I guess it is there to reduce interference, but may be detrimental to stability. If you Google "FSB spread Spectrum" with the quote you'll get a bunch of links. 🙂
