So I decided to actually install the HDD that I bought about a month ago... 80GB of 8MB cache 7200rpm goodness and I just now get around to doing it. :p

It's SO NICE to have a fresh, clean install. :)

Currently installing Office XP. I have Norton SystemWorks and Tiny Personal Firewall to go next. Then the slough of games and the few truely useful programs. ;) :)

Well, I considered it, but then I realized that I had a lot of junk that I don't want installed. Even things that I had installed once (*cough*ZoneAlarm*cough*) that weren't properly removed from the registry, etc.

God, I spent all freaking weekend doing fresh installs. If I see that installation screen one more time I think I'm gonna puke.

I must have installed windows 4 or 5 times ...

That's really not all that bad...

of course, I wasn't the one standing around twiddling his thumbs while the customer is dancing around behind the back asking "is it done yet? ...is it done yet? ...is it done yet?"

:D

Yeah, but you were getting paid for it ... I was just trying to get my machine up and running. I was having some serious issues with it at about midnight last night, and last friday night. I wouldn't have cared if I was getting paid to stare at the installation screen :p

I've had my system up for months. :) I hope to get it back that way after I move in 12 days.

Hmm...im seriously considering trying out Mandrake or RedHat....what are the differences between the newest versions of them both? I surf the net and play with video and sound files way more than playing games anymore.
