Nothing like an ice cold piece of watermelon on a hot and humid July day.

Makes me remember he hot days at my grandparents farm in the North Alabama Mountains. Home made peach ice cream, grilled hotdogs and hamburgers.

Chasing june bugs and tying them to a string so they flew around in circles.

Catching catfish in the lake. playing baseball in the cow pasture (whoops that wasn't 2nd base, glad I didn't slide in head first :))

Those were the days I loved, not a care in the world, and just loving life.

for some reason i hate the country...my grandparents lived on a farm and that type of stuff drove me crazy...my idea of relaxing is going into the noisy city where everything is happening....


but I know what you mean m8, nice and peaceful etc...the good 'ol times

Sounds wonderful...would it kill you to pass some of that home made peach ice cream this way?

I also remember the time we used Papaw's "special mason" jar to help start the charcol in the grill one time. Let's just say those were some mighty tasty burgers, And dad needed to wait a few weeks befor his eeyebrows grew back.
