4 175Mhz dualtexturing pipelines with full DX8 support.
200Mhz DDR RAM speed.
And a fully programmable T&L unit.

All for $300 (Canadian), which I'd actually be willing to pay for a good graphics card, this $600 is ridiculous. $300 is pretty high to, but I'd be willing to pay that.

Joy :)

To bad I probably need a new monitor :(

In Canadian dollars how does that compare if the Radeon 8500 does become available for US ~$190?

Radeon 8500 for $190US?
Wow that's an impressive price point.

$190US is about $285-290 Canadian.

I thought the Radeon 8500 was suppose to be more in the $300-400US range?

Have a look here although I won't trust any pricing i see/hear until I see products listed.

Either way for $NZ 400-500 (~$US 200) i'll be able to get a graphics card that does everything I need.

On my 17" monitor I doubt i could tell the difference between a GF3 Ti 500 and GF3 Ti 200

Hmm $190 would be cool...but that other guy said:

<< I saw this on Rage3d.com

<< Also ATI is now selling the Radeon 7500 and 8500 online. It's a great price $375.82 and $250.91 Canadian respectively. You can check that out here. Thanks Nathan. People are finding great and I mean great prices for Radeon 8500 boards around online stores. Can't wait till they deliver! >>

$375 Cdn = about $250 US
$250 Cdn = about $166 US

Still I guess $375 isn't too bad...but I put my limit at $300.
I would rather in the $200 area...$300 max.

Yeh, capping the spending is always a wise move. I guess there will be deals to be had on 8500s from some vendors and pricewatch is likely to have a few places selling them cheaper.
