My neighbor, Mexican guy who works the fields during the harvest, just brought me a grocery bag stuffed with peaches.
30 beautiful freestones...
My wife made a peach cobbler a couple of days ago with store-bought peaches, so we're thinking about making peach jam with these...maybe peach/habanero jam as well since it appears that my "mystery peppers" are a peach habanero hybrid...I know she's planning to make jalapeno jelly this next week anyway...so this would fit right in the line-up...
The neighbor has brought me a similar size bag of bing cherries and one of apricots already this year...
We made apricot jam and some of the cherries were used in making cherry tarts, but the bulk of them were frozen for later use.
In return, I give him jalapenos, serranos, and this time, I'm gonna give him some of my habanero hybrid peppers, along with some tomatoes and a couple of cucumbers.
