I saw a news article on Faux news about it about a year back... the thing is, nothing was illegal... cant do anything about it, although next time you eat cheap steak, you know what you are getting...

This stuff is awesome. I was at a restaurant recently where they used it to wrap a piece of cod belly with skin, which was cooked sous vide and then crisped up on the outside. Cod belly with crispy skin all around. Delicious.

I don't think they should be using this stuff to turn scraps back into steaks, though.
