Mmmm... Sweet, Meaty Nuts!

I must confess, I do enjoy the odd pack of heavily salted peanuts from time to time.

They make my mouth very dry though, so ensuring that I have several pints of beer at hand is a must. 🙂

Normally, I ignore threads with a title such as this one.

But when I saw who posted it, I just HAD to look.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh the pain and sheeeeeerrrrrrr agony. And what is SO sad is that I knew it was coming.

I'm a peanut man, partial to the products of a company in southern Virginia by the name of Hubs. Theirs is the truly perfect peanut. Large, full-bodied, robust, and yet deliciously succulent, it is a legume to savor.

Now for y'all in or near Cary (Cary, for those of you not from around here, stands for Central Area for Relocating Yankees) or Henderson, N.C., there's a place called the Peanut Roaster. They have "seasoned" peanuts, and while I normally don't hold with much else besides salt on a peanut, they have this hot BBQ seasoned peanut that is very interesting.

Not that I take my nuts seriously or anything...

ROTFL, oldandquitemad!

I knew that if I were to find other nut lovers like myself, I would have to go to extremes. I've given up potatoes and bread in favor of nuts... I don't think I'll ever eat a potato chip again if I can have nuts instead.

We go up to Franklin NC regularly... I don't know how far this place you speak of is from Franklin, but I will have to look it up... and on the way through Georgia, I can stop for pralines...

🙂 Mmmmmmmm~!

edit: Fatdog, sorry to hear that. Knowing how dangerous that can be, may a nut never ever cross your palate!

As far as the thread title is concerned, we all know that Isla is playing subliminal games with our minds.

Take "Mmmm... Sweet, Meaty Nuts!" and remove the middle part ("et, Me&quot😉.

You see that both Sweaty Nuts and Et Me are in there. Now if that doesn't trouble your Schwetty Balls, nothing will.

ROTFLMAO, you guys!

Hey, I learned from the pros... I have been paying very close attention to my wiser, more experienced mentors here at AT.

Aren't you proud of me?

😀 😀 😉

i really feel sorry for those who are allergic to nuts (and chocolate)...

the reactions can be fatal.

and nuts are good =)

i even eat coconuts.

Franklin is well to the west of the Cary or Henderson areas. Now, if you ever go to Franklinton, or Franklin County, then you're just a short stretch up the road.

In fact, I think Franklin is closer to FettsBabe's part of the state. I wonder if she likes peanuts?

Oldandquitemad,

I was looking at the map and actually, it looks like it might make a nice day trip. We've seen and done everything on the west side.... time for an adventure!

If you take the plunge and do head east, give me a shout out in the forums and I'll send you pertinent information so that I can take you and Mr.Isla out to lunch. This way I can introduce y'all to "The Food Of The Gods", to wit: Eastern NC BBQ.

I certainly will, oldandquitemad. That would be lovely!

You will find that I am not nearly as wacky a character I play here on ATOT. 😉
