But isn't animal fat(or lard) one of the first ingredients that makes the Japanese curry tasty? Read the box...

not even sushi? (not that i like it)

I won't eat a raw animal, even oysters which are very popular in my hometown (Coonasses love raw oysters). It's just a thing I have.

not all sushi are raw..

sashimi is all raw..

I love Japanese curry and Indian curry. I hate Thai curry. I don't appreciate coconut flavor in my curry.

I love Thai & Vietnamese Curry.

FreAk😀

Thai curry rocks. Especially red curry. mmmmmmmm good.

Japanese curry is awesome only if you make sure you have the meat, potatoes, carrots and onions. Otherwise it's just goop.

Another thing is that I don't get the difference between the spiciness levels on the Golden House brand. They have 3 levels, and they always taste the same to me. 😕

The S&B pouch came in potatotes and carrots.. and they ROCK!

Really? That would save a ton of effort. I can only find the ones that come in bullion cubes, so I just use that. It takes time to cut up the meat and veggies, so I just do that once a week or so.

I also made a mistake - I use S & B too 🙂 - I suppose I got mixed up on the Golden House with Golden Curry. 😉

can I get s&b curry at american supermarket?? (albertsons, etc)

oooh...japanese curry.

haven't had some in soooooooo long.

i'm gonna make a request to my mom about this...she should make some this weekend. woohoo!

Not that I know of, but I always restock at a place pretty close to Chinatown here in Chicago. I have seen curry at Albertsons (well Jewel Osco here in Chicago - that's another story), but it's not S & B brand.

Edit: I still have to figure out how to work that quote feature...

I can get it at my local supermarket, but its way cheaper at an Asian market. Regular supermarkets almost always have crazy markups on "ethnic" food.

GIRLY MAN! If Tom Hanks can do it, anyone should! 😉

Well I haven't tried it with pasta, but it tastes MUCH better with sticky rice than stupid basmati rice, that's for sure.

How many of you have had Japanese curry homemade in a house in Japan...? Eating it on tatami mats? Over wonderful Japanese rice?

Mmmm so good.

I'm not even Asian.
