We used to have a vintage 70's lava lamp with the brass base and the red "lava". Then my mom dropped it (i do not suggest this, ever.) So, for christmas this year, I eBay'ed and got them an identicle one.

Takes way too long to heat up though, i think i may need a higher watt bulb.
