Make a killing is a great thought-provoking song for me. One of my favorites.

That could potentially be my favorite Aimee Mann song ever.

Thanks! for the head's-up, I've been a fan since seeing a live "Coming Up Close" on TV. If I had a theme song it would be either "Goody Two Shoes" (Adam Ant) or "It's Not Safe" from I'm With Stupid.

I never liked her back when she was with 'Til Tuesday back in the 80's, but really like her stuff now. Maybe it's the influence of her husband Michael Penn (Sean's brother). Though.. His stuff is very Beatleish..

Gotta check out her new album. I'll be downloading songs to check it. Gotta love previewing albums before you buy it.

Don't worry I will buy it. I do support artists I really like, and Aimee Mann is one of them. I admire how she stood up for herself against the evil record companies and decided to release everything on her own. I wish more artists would do that.

Actually the whole album is on her website, FREE STREAMING so people have no excuse to pirate it -- it's self-published and she's letting you hear the whole thing before you buy it. (www.aimeemann.com). Tip: the WMA stream wasn't working for me but the Flash stream worked great.
