Well, the potential buyer wants me to look at his website and see if I like anything on his website, and probably he will trade that for my 19 inch monitor. Well...I have to say this is one of the strangest offer I've ever seen. But really, I was impressed with the glass work he has on the website, and I always have an appreciation for arts. But the thing is...I don't know what they do? And they all cost > $2000 on the website...I mean, my monitor is only worth $100..why would anyone do that? I don't get it

I hope this link works.

i had an artist buddy that always tried to do that with people.
i mean, he was good. but...art is only worth what i see it to be, so we always got in arguments.
also...your link doesnt show up in your post.
just when i quote you.

edit:
you must have been editing it when i quoted you.
so...what is the medium?
very humble artist, charging 2000 bucks and named "andyisgod"

Probably because it cost him less than 100 dollars for the supplies to make one of those things. So for him its a good deal. And if you like his art then its a good deal for you also. everyone wins

Why would you protect the privacy of an artist?

I don't understand your logic.

I would trade - my brother is a part-time artist. He made a fullsize & moveable Terminator T-100 skeleton out of steel tubing, very cool. He never completely finished it. He gave me a arm. Anyways my dad was emptying out thier basement an put the lower half of the T-100 up for-sale at the nieghborhood yard sale. It sold for $500.

At the very least you could take it and resell it and make a killing :)

If you like it then make the deal. It's just a monitor.
