MMA fighter breaks opponent's arm and then taunts him

During the Dynamite 2009 card held in Saitama, Japan, submission ace Shinya Aoki won his bout with Mizuto Hirota when he clearly broke Hirota's arm with a hammerlock. That should have been enough for him. But he was hardly done.

Instead, Aoki stood over his fallen opponent, extended his middle finger at him and taunted him. Then, he ran around the ring excitedly and flipped off the fans, jumped up to the second rope to bathe in the fans' reaction -- which incredibly was cheers -- before running back up the ramp and finally, thankfully, disappearing.

At no point did he go check on Hirota or exhibit any type of sportsmanship whatsoever.

His defenders will say, "Hey, it's the same thing Brock Lesnar did to Frank Mir after beating him at UFC 100."

It makes for good TV, or whatever. As long as dipshits will pay attention and cheer for that sort of thing, people will do it.

Do you mean UFC? I never understood what's so cool about two guys rolling on the ground semi-naked punching each other. Seems a bit gay to me...

tell that to a fighter 😛

and as I say that, I hesitantly say:
it's less gay than Greco-Roman wrestling. They don't even punch each other as they roll around.
😛

and Boxing?
Sure, punching is the only thing they do... but, they use padded gloves! That must be pretty gay yes?

I don't see anything gay with it, but it has absolutely no appeal to me. To each his own, I guess.

One dude straddling another isn't gay anymore. Holy fuck.

Wrestling has always seemed to have a strong element of homoerotica to me. Too much male skin, too much grunting, too many awkward holds. I don't care if it's now Ultimate fighting or whatever there has always been an element of homoerotica in wrestling dating back to grekoromen wrestling. Not that there is anything wrong with being gay I just don't get the attraction of these sports.

For me, I didn't really become interested in it until I did a little bit of it. Then I could follow all the moves (even if I personally couldn't execute them) and also realized how much work it was. Now I watch every UFC event.

Spoken like a guy who's never been in a fight before.

He's too gay to fight 😉

That doesn't make it only for gays. If you do a google image search for "military men" damn near every result will be gay porn. Does that mean all people in the military are gay? Actually, don't answer that. Don't ask don't tell.

I bet he regrets not tapping out. I mean cmon, he had him pretty much dead to rights. Maybe it was pride keeping him from giving in, but damn that break was ugly. You can see from the top view when his arm finally pops.

I used to be a grecko-roman wrestler. No gayness here. I don't get why everyone always says it seems gay to them either? That's like saying football is gay cause you tackle and lay on other guys. Or basketball is gay cause you are handchecking the other guys around the waist/ass.

The appeal of wrestling to me, is it is what man vs another. You control your own fate.

I've watched a couple of Aoki fights and he's very entertaining to watch because he's a cocky bastard. Also the fighters in Japan always seem to be pushing to end the fight unlike a lot of fights here in the US. Just seems they take a lot more risks or maybe it's just the competition they are up against. As much as Aoki wanted to get revenge for what was said beforehand at the press conference, I doubt the guy wanted to break Hirota's arm. That reaction at the end was classless which I'm sure came from him having to break his arm cause Hirota didn't tap.
