MMA fans - like Roy Nelson on Twitter so he'll lose a bet

He made a bet that if 100k people like him or friend him or whatever you do on Twitter he'll drop to 205lbs. He's a real hearty 265 right now, and the last I heard about 70k people had already friended him. I think he made the bet because he figured there was no way he'd hit 100k. But it's gone viral and I don't see it not backfiring on him in the end. Roy's seems like a straight up dude so I believe he'll own up to it and make the weight cut. I don't know how to use the blasted Twiter intarweb thingy, but I'm sure you people on here do. And spread the word to any MMA friends you have who might not know about this. During and even in the post fight interview of most of his fights Joe Rogan will make a comment on how he's fat a couple of times. In his last post fight interview he said "Thank you Joe for always pointing out that I'm fat" "Well Roy, you are fat!" - Joe


It'll be hilarious to hear what he has to say if/when Roy enters the cage @ 205.

I disagree. You do not have to be champ to be relevant. His chin, power, and grappling, make him a tough match up for many@205. His cardio should be better too.

IF roy can drop to 205 he would be a beast. He has a hell of a chin, great power and great BJJ. i think he would be top 5 for sure.

i just don't see roy dropping to 205.

btw at UFV 146 (wich is fucking stacked) Roy is going up against big foot sivla. that will be a tough match.

He has some muscle, but he's has a lot of fat, there's no reason he shouldn't be able to hit 205. I know everyone's different, but look at Anthony Johnson, he walks around at a HUGE 225 from what I've read. And he cuts to 170, and at 225 he looks absolutely ripped. Johnson's a natural HW with his muscles and he can make Welterweight. Nelson could probably make Middleweight if he cut his belly down.

Rampage claims 1 more fight in the UFC and he's going elsewhere. Quinton vs Roy @ 205. If Page came in with no injury wanting to go out guns blazing that would be a SICK ASS FIGHT! I think I'll start a Tweet tending topic whatever you call it with this and see if it catches on. Jackson will go balls out for his last fight, and Big Country always fights his ass off.

bjj: too bad he hasnt shown any lately.

all he's done in recent fights is go for the haymaker. and all his opponents are expecting this and fight accordingly.

i like roy but he's been too one dimentional lately
