I have been hooked on Counter Strike GO recently (it is SO much more like 1.6 than Source ever was), but watching others play it just makes me feel worse about how much I suck.

You and me both. I bought Vanguard thinking it was single player and got dumped into live play. It was, um, not my best moment. But I practiced and practiced (and finally figured out that I don't have to use the weapon I'm randomly assigned) and then, for one brief shining moment very late at night, actually came in second once. Nearly the top of lower mediocrity!

I find the key to happiness is lowering expectations and bot slaughter.
